The following ,mare the recommendations of the Committee on Public Works
which were considered at its meeting of April 20, 1977:
COMMUNICATIONS
NNo. 215 : DETAILED STUDIES FOR NAVIGATION IMPROVEMENTS AT POHOIKI
From Colonel F. M. Pender, District Engineer, Corps of
Engineers, dated March 9, 1977, informing the detailed
project study and report for navigation improvements at
Pohoiki will be accomplished under the authority of
Section 107 of the River and Harbor Act of 1960, as
amended. The report will present recommendations,
economic and environmental evaluations and project plans
and data in sufficient detail to assure a complete and
fully operable project, if found feasible.
Receive and file.
Me-e- No. 259 : ABANDONMENT RESOLUTION AND QUITCLAIM DEED FOR A PORTION
(Res. 67) ----OF THE LAUPAHOEHOE HOMESTEAD ROAD RESERVE IN MANOWAIOPAE,
NORTH HI LO
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated April 1, 1977 ,
submitting the quitclaim deed and an abandonment resolution
for the subject road reserve which is no longer needed
for a public purpose and is recommended for abandonment.
Informs the documents have been reviewed and approved by the
Corporation Counsel' s office and are submitted for
consideration, approval and authorization for execution
of the deed by the Mayor.
Recommend adoption of
Resolution 67 and grant
authorization to Mayor
to execute quitclaim deed.
