From Deputy Corporation Counsel Reginald P. Minn, dated
May 26, 1978, submitting a resolution to rescind
Resolution 377 ( 1961) pertaining to the abandonment
of County roads in the Honohononui Subdivision.
Approve and recommend adoption
of Resolution 277.

(Res. 273 ) From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated May 22, 1978,
submitting for adoption a resolution authorizing the
Corporation Counsel to initiate eminent domain proceedings
for the acquisition and condemnation of the required
lands and drainage easements necessary for the Wailuku-
Alenaio Watershed Diversion project.
Approve and recomend adoption
of Resolution 273.

SIDEWALK SALE - JAPANESE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
From Stanley G. Abe, President, Japanese Chamber of
Commerce and Industry of Hawaii, dated May 23, 1978,
requesting approval to hold sidewalk sales on Friday,
July 21, and Saturday, July 22, 1978 in Hilo, sponsored
by their association. Also encloses the consent and
approval signed by the Downtown Improvement Association' s
President, Tony Taniguchi.

Pet. 7: PROTEST AGAINST APPROVAL OF A THROUGH STREET WITHIN
KISHI SUBDIVISION, KEEKEE 1st SOUTH KONA
Petitl-On, signed by a majority of residents of the Kishi
Subdivision in Keekee 1st, South Kona, expressing concern
and objection to the County of Hawaii entertaining any
request to make the roadway within the subdivision a
thoroughfare.
