Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
Comm. 856: FEES FOR JUNIOR GOLFERS
From Gerry E. Meyer, President, Hilo
Junior Golf Association, dated June 26,
1978 requesting, assistance in reducing
the golf fees at the Hilo Municipal: Golf
Course to the old rates of 50 cents a day
(instead of $1) , $1 on weekends (instead
of $1.50) -, and $4 for a monthly card
(instead of $6) . Their argument is that
other youngsters using County facilities
are not paying anything while the Junior
Golfers have throughout the years paid
for the usage of a County facility.
recommendsthat the Director of Parks and Recreation be
requested to reduce the golf fees at the Hilo Municipal Golf
Course for the Junior Golfers to 50 cents a day, $1 on weekends
and $5 for a monthly card.
