25 MPH SPEED LIMIT - OLD MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY FROM
HONOKAA TO WAIMEA AND AHUALOA HOMESTEAD ROAD
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated September 21
197$ requesting amendment to Chapter 6 (Traffic Code),
Article $, Section 5, Schedule 5, Hawaii County Code,
authorizing a 25 mile per hour speed limit for the
Old Mamalahoa Highway from Honokaa to Waimea and
for the Ahualoa Homestead Road due to the narrow
pavement width, poor shoulders and numerous curves;
recommends approval of the request to authorize a 25 mile per hour
speed limit for the Old Mamalahoa Highway from Honokaa to Waimea, also
known as the Ahualoa Road, and for the Ahualoa Homestead Road, and
- that the proper amendment to the Traffic Code be prepared by the Office
of the Corporation Counsel.
