Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
LU Comm. 964: CALABASH PLANTER FOR DOWNTOWN HILO
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated
October 23, 1978 submitting copy of a letter
from the County Beautification Council offering
to donate to the County, calabash planters to
be placed at the corner of Waianuenue Avenue
and Keawe Street. Supports the efforts of the
Council and recommends acceptance, with thanks,
of the offer pursuant to Section 13-12 of the
Charter;
recommends, pursuant to Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter,
acceptance of the calabash planters offered by the County
Beautification Council for placement at the corners of Waianuenue
Avenue and Keawe Street.
Further recommends that the County Clerk write an appropriate
letter of thanks and appreciation on behalf of the County Council
to Molly Heneghan, Chairperson of the Community Beautification
Council.
