Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
Ac4. Comm. 970 : AMENDMENT TO TRAFFIC CODE
NO PARKING ZONE ALONG KAIWI STREET IN KAILUA-KONA
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated October 20 ,
1978 requesting that the Traffic Code be amended
to establish a no parking zone along Kaiwi Street in
Kailua-Kona fronting the Hawaiian Telephone Company.
This request to ban parking along the shoulder to
improve sight distance for vehicles exiting from
driveways within the zone was submitted by the West
Hawaii Safety Committee, Hawaiian Telephone Company,
andconcurred with by the Kona Traffic Safety
Committee;
recommends approval of the request to establish a no-parking zone
along Kaiwi Street in Kailua-Kona fronting the Hawaiian Telephone
Company, and that the proper amendment to the Traffic Code be
prepared by the Office of the Corporation Counsel.
