Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
,)!..c Comm. 1099 : CLOSING OF ALII DRIVE IN KAILUA-KONA
From Councilman James L. K. Dahlberg dated
March 23 , 1979 , transmitting a letter from
Tita Solomon requesting the closing of Alii Drive
from the Hulihe_e Palace to the Kamaka Honu Heiau,
Kamehameha Hotel luau grounds in Kailua-Kona
for the Aloha Week Court Procession on September
21, 1979 from. 2 : 30 to 3 : 00 p.m;
recommends Council approve the request of Tita Beamer Solomon to
close Alii Drive from the Hulihe 'e Palace to the Kamaka Honu Heiau,
Kamehameha Hotel luau grounds in Kailua-Kona for the Aloha Week
Court Procession on September 22 , 1979 from 2 :30 to 3 :00 p.m. ,
provided that the conditions required by the Police Department,
Fire Department, Kona Hospital and Public Works Department are
complied with.
Further recommends Aloha Week. Hawaii Inc, seek_ the concurrence
of businesses along the route and also Mok.uaikaua Church.
