Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
,amu- Comm. 1180: ABANDONMENT RESOLUTION FOR A PORTION OF
(Res. 445) GOVERNMENT ROAD, ONOMEA, SOUTH HILO
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated
May 30, 1979 , transmitting for adoption, an
abandonment resolution for the subject road
which has been reviewed and approved by the
Corporation Counsel ' s Office. Informs the
roadway is no longer needed for public purpose
and is recommended for abandonment. Further
informs upon abandonment of the roadway, the
State Department of Transportation will negotiate
• with the State Department of Land and Natural
Resources for transfer of the abandoned road area
for use of truck climbing lane;
recommends the communication be placed on file; and approve and adopt
is Resolution 445 abandoning a portion of the Onomea Camp Road for the
construction of a truck climbing lane.
