AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24,ARTICLE 10,DIVISION 5, OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION,AS AMENDED), BY ADDING A
PORTION OF WAIOPAE ROAD TO THE "NO PARKING AT ANYTIME"
SCHEDULE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this amendment is to require police enforcement of"No
parking signs"by adding "Wai`opae Road,.makai side, from Kapoho Kai Drive to Kaheka Road"
to Section 24-280, Schedule 28, "No parking at anytime," subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawai`i
County Code.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28, "No
parking anytime," subsection(g), Puna, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition,
as amended), is amended by adding a new listing to be appropriately inserted and to read
as follows:
"Wai`opae Road,makai side, from Kapoho Kai Drive to Kaheka Road."
SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other
provisions or applications of the ordinance that can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
