Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
Sr . Comm. 1199: 3RD ANNUAL KEAAU VILLAGE BAZAAR AND CELEBRATION
From Jo-Anna Buckland, dated June 27 , 1979 ,
requesting the closing of the block in Keaau
Village on Sunday, August 5 , 1979 , between
Highway 13 and Shipman Street from 7 :00 a.m.
to 6 : 00 p.m.. to set up flea market-style
booths for the Keaau Village Third Annual
Bazaar and Celebration;
recommends Council approve the request of the Keaau Village Celebration
Committee to close the block in Keaau Village on Sunday, August 5 , 1979,
between Highway 13 and Shipman Street from 7: 00 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m. for
their Third Annual Bazaar and Celebration, provided thatthe following
conditions are complied with by the Keaau Village Celebration Committee :
1. Effect coordination and secure approval of their plan
to redirect traffic from the Hawaii County Departments
of Public Works , Police and Fire;
2 . Coordinate the date and times of the traffic detours
with Hilo Hospital; and
3. Be responsible for the placement and removal of the
temporary control signs and devices.
