Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
Comm. 1244:. GREAT WAIKOLOA BIKE RACE
From Gerry Hollins, dated August 6, 1979
requesting the closing off of the right hand
lane of traffic. around Liliuokalani Park and
the closing of both lanes on the makai side of
Liliuokalani Park on October 3rd for the Great
Waikoloa Bike Race from 1: 00 p.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. ,
as outlined on the attached map, with the
re-routing of traffic to be handled with
blockades, cones and traffic marshals;
recommends that the Council approve the request to close off the right
hand lane of traffic around Liliuokalani Park and the closing of both
lanes on the makai side of Liliuokalani Park on October 3rd for the
Great Waikoloa Bike Race from 1:00 p.m. to 5 :00 p.m. , as outlined on
the attached map; provided that the conditions required by the Police
Department, Fire Department, Hilo Hospital, and Public Works Department are
complied with.
