Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
Av- Comm. 1477 : AMENDMENT TO TRAFFIC CODE
(Bill 588) SPEED REGULATIONS
From Deputy Corporation Counsel Sandra E. Pechter
dated February 27 , 1980 submitting an ordinance
bill amending Article 8, Chapter 6, of the Hawaii
County Code, as amended, relating to speed regulations,
to correct clerical and language errors. Further,
many of the older amendments to the special speed
limits established under Schedule 5 were enacted
improperly because of drafting errors.
Points out that their draft does not include any
substantive changes to the speed regulations and
although the County Council may wish to make
substantive amendments, recommends that these
amendments be enacted after the clerical and
language errors of Article 8 are corrected;
recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 588 on first reading.
