Revised April 17, 1980, su-omitting a proposed Ordinance
bill amending Article 11, Chapter 3,' Hawaii
County Code, relating to Animal Control; :
recommends the following .revisions.; to ::proposed Bill 616
. (1) Section 1, Section 11. 01_, Definitions,. .(b) 'Officer ' -
add '"polic'e' officer" after "humane society. "
(2) Increase the penalty from' Ten Dollars ($10) to Twenty-Five.
Dollars ($25) in Sections 11. 04, 11. 19, 11021, 11. 22, 11. 23,
11. 25, and 11. 27 . •
Further recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 616,, as revised, on
first reading.
• (Messrs. Domingo and Fujii
opposed the increase in
penalty provisions. )
AMENDMENT - Council meeting of May 7, 1980:
The County Council amended PWC Report No. 192 by deleting the recommendation
of the Committee and inserting in lieu thereof: "Recommends the adoption
of Bill 616 on first reading. "
