Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:

�;. Comm. 1519: DONATION - MASONITE SHEETS
From J. W. Hanley, President, Big Island Automobile
Dealers Association, dated March 20, 1980 , offering
to donate 145 sheets of masonite (4 'x8 'x '1/4" )
to the County for use only in the Hoolulu Tennis
Stadium and requests that they be able to use it
without charge during their annual auto show;
recommends, pursuant to Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter,
acceptance of the masonite sheets, donated by the Big Island Automobile
Dealers Associationforuse only at the Hoolulu Tennis Stadium, with the
following understanding:
(1) The floor covering material become public property and must be
made available to other legitimate users of the facility;.
(2) The Association to install and remove the masonite during their
annual auto shows; and
(3) The Department of Parks and Recreation cannot guarantee the condition
nor the number of sheetsavailable to the Association in subsequent
auto shows.
Further recommends that the County Clerk write an appropriate letter of
thanks and appreciation on behalf of the County Council to the Big Island
Automobile Dealers Association.
