Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
L Comm. 1523 : 6TH ANNUAL BIG ISLAND MARATHON
From Lee Howard, President, Big Island Road Runners,
dated March 30, 1980, requesting approval to hold
the 6th Annual Big Island Marathon on Sunday,
July 6, 1980 from 6 :00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the
route, as outlined on the attached map. Informs ,
upon approval, they will consult with the Departments
of Police, Public Works and Parks and Recreation
concerning areas of cooperation and will welcome
their recommendations;
recommends Council approve the request of the Big Island Road Runners to
hold the 6th Annual Big IslandMarathon on Sunday, July 6 , 1980 , from 6 : 00
a.m. to 1: 00 p.m. on the route, asoutlined on the attached map, provided
that the conditions- required by the Police Department-, Fire Department, Hilo
Hospital, and Public Works Department are complied with.
