Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Michael Doolittle of Council District 1 to the Veterans
Advisory Committee. He served in the US Army from 1962-1970. Mr. Doolittle is a
retired independent real estate developer, investor and businessman. He currently owns
Mystic Palm Plantation, a veteran's vocational training center in Hakalau.
Mr. Doolittle has been a resident of Hawai'i for the last 7 years and is a current member
of the Hawai'i Island Veterans Memorial, Inc.

Mr. Doolittle states he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve
a term ending December 31, 2021.
