Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate George Sheridan of Council District 5 to the Veterans
Advisory Committee. Mr. Sheridan served in the United States Army from1967 — 1976
and the Hawai'i Army National Guard from 1976 -1999. He is a Vietnam veteran and a
member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #3830 and the Hawai'i island Veterans
Memorial, Inc.
Mr. Sheridan obtained a BA in Psychology from the University of Hawai'i at Marioa and
a MS in Business from the University of Southern California (USC).
Mr. Sheridan is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. He states he is not affiliated with any
political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending December 31, 2020.
