On August 1, 2005 the County's Office of Housing and Community Development entered into a 10- year Housing Assistance Payment Contract with 2020 Kino'ole Limited Partnership, owners of the Kino'ole Senior Residences. They were selected for the Section 8 Project- Based Voucher Program as offered through a Public Notice dated July 10, 17, and 24, 2005. The 10-year contract is ending on July 31, 2017 and the Partnership has submitted a written request for a new 10-year agreement to continue to provide rental assistance for up to 29 eligible participants. The Office of Housing and Community Development requests that this resolution be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed on the June 23, 2017 Council agenda in order to expedite the processing of this agreement. REQUEST: • On August 1, 2007, the County of Hawai'i entered into a 10-year Housing Assistance Payment Contract (Agreement) with 2020 Kinoole Limited Partnership (Partnership) owners of the the Kino'ole Senior Residences, selected for the Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Program (PBV Program) as offered through a Public Notice dated July 10, 17, and 24, 2005. Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawai`i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on Finance for placement on its future agenda.
