ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 (TRAFFIC SCHEDULE), OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO TRAFFIC
REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-279, schedule 27
(Parking on pavement prohibited at all times), subsection (f) Kona, item (1), of the
Hawaii County Code (1995 edition), is amended to read as follows:
(1) Alii Drive, makai side, from Disappearing Sands Beach to [the
County park adjacent to Keauhou Hotel, except as provided in
Schedule 28, section 24-28(d)(9) and (d)(10).] a point .5 mile south
of Queen Kalama Avenue.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No
parking at anytime), subsection (f) Kona, item (2), of the Hawaii County Code (1995
edition), is amended to read as follows:
(2) Alii Drive, makai side, [for a distance of one hundred feet on either
side of each] beginning from a point .5 mile south of Queen Kalama
Avenue to a point one hundred feet south of the main driveway into
Kahaluu Beach Park.
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored.
In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any
person or circumstances, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions

or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
