SUBJECT: Mass Transit Agency Presentation
I am respectfully requesting an hour and a half for a presentation by Mr. Curtis Sharp, Interim
Administrator of the Mass Transit Agency, at the next scheduled appropriate committee meeting
scheduled for Hilo. This will give the committee and the public an opportunity to participate in a
focused session about public transportation. Administrator Sharp will provide detailed
information on what challenges, opportunities and resources are in front of MTA. He will
include an update on the planning process and the new bus facility. He will outline his budget
needs and proposed expenditures.
An hour, with Powerpoint presentation should be allowed for the briefing and thirty minutes for
questions and answers.
