Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
Please be advised that I have appointed Jeannette K. Bento of Hilo to the Hawaii
County Committee on the Status of Women to replace Yun Chu Pilles of Hilo,
who has resigned, as she has relocated to the mainland.
Ms. Bento is a lifetime resident of Hawaii, and since 1985 has been a social
worker with the Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Center.
She will be serving the balance of the unexpired term which will end on
December 31, 2004.
Should the Council have any questions regarding this appointment, you may call
me at your convenience.
