Your Committee on Economic Development to which was referred:
Res. 144 : VISITOR INDUSTRY,
Resolves that the Council take necessary actions to assist
the Visitor Industry by:
1) declaring that tourism is a top priority item for the
County of Hawaii during FY 1981-82;
2) enlisting the cooperative effort of industry, business,
labor and the community in developing effective and
meaningful programs and projects to promote the Big
Island, improve visitor awareness and satisfaction and
revive the Aloha Spirit; and
3) committing adequate funding for promotion, beautification
projects, facilities, etc. ;

recommends Council approve and adopt Resolution 144 .
