Your Committee on Economic Development to whichwas referred:
Res. 447 : SUPPORT OF NN* ON MAUNA KEA
Declares its desire to have the National New Technology
Telescope (NNTT) located on Mauna Kea and that it fully
supports the Institute for Astronomy of the University
of Hawaii in preparing thecase by:
Committing $28 ,000 as the County' s share to conduct the
quantitative and qualitative study of Mauna Kea
astronomical properties using the most modern techniques
and; assuring full cooperation in expediting the planning
and construction process for the project.
• Further seeks the full support of the State, the
University of Hawaii and the community for this project;
