Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Milton Pavao of District 4 to the Hawai'i County's Salary
Commission. Mr. Pavao is a former Director of the County of Hawai'i Department of
Water Supply where he retired after 39 years of service.
Mr. Pavao obtained a BS degree in Civil Engineer from the University of Hawai'i at
Manoa. Since his retirement, Mr. Pavao has used his time volunteering in several
community organizations including assisting with the Hawaiian Paradise Park
Community Association and serving as a commissioner on the State Commission on
Water Resource Management.
Mr. Pavao states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will
serve a term ending December 31, 2019.
