June 15, 2017 Council Chairwoman Valerie Poindexter And Members of the County Council County of Hawai'i Hilo, HI 96720 Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members: It is my pleasure to nominate William Chillingworth of District 9 to the Hawai'i County's Merit Appeals Board. Judge Chillingworth is a retired Family Court Judge with the State of Hawai'i Judiciary where he served for over 20 years. He is a graduate of the Punahou School, the University of Colorado and the University of Denver College of Law. Judge Chillingworth is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. Judge Chillingworth currently serves as Board President of the Waimea Preservation Association (Waimea Main Street) and a former boardmember and secretary of the West Hawai'i Mediation Service. Judge Chillingworth states he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve to fill a term ending December 31, 2021.
