I highly recommend banning all styrofoam containers rom the State of Hawaii. it has been done successfully in many
other parts of the country. The cost difference to switch to paper or better yet, compostable take home boxes is
negligible and could certainly be made up by raising the cost of a meal by a few cents. In the long run no one will notice
the price difference and we won't be polluting the environment. Styrofoam NEVER breaks down and if our dump in Hilo
is almost full then it is way past time we do something about it by not filling it with styrofoam take out boxes. Especially
when there is a viable option. Please pass this bill.
