Subject: I support Bill 13 to reduce polystyrene foam food containers on Hawai'i Island!

Aloha members of the council,
I support the initiative proposed by Councilwoman O'Hara to reduce the amount of polystyrene foam food
containers & food service ware on Hawai'i Island starting on July 1st, 2018. As a marine biologist, I have
noticed a tremendous difference in the health of our reefs and forests since the passing of the plastic bag
reduction bill. I think that the styrofoam bill will have similar positive effects.
