Subject: Please Ban Polystyrene
As a frequent visitor to Hawai'i and a resident of a community that bans polystyrene, I cannot urge passage of
this ban strongly enough. It pains me every time I am given polystyrene or plastic while in Hawaii, thinking of
how these materials will long outlast my presence there and pollute your beautiful state for generations beyond
me. In fact, the presence of non-biodegradable pollutants is one of the worst aspects of a visitor's - or I imagine
a local's - experience in the islands. Please ban these relicts of a less responsible age.
