Subject: styrofoam ban
Aloha,
I just heard about this bill today and believe I may have missed the deadline for submitting testimony.
However, I still wanted to write to express my strong support for a styrofoam ban here on the Big Island. I was
born and raised in Volcano and now am a teacher at Hilo Intermediate School. I care deeply about this island
and about the quality of living we need to provide for our future generations. With a Hilo landfill that is already
almost full, why aren't we taking bolder, more visionary steps to protect our island? Banning styrofoam
packaging is a great place to start. I strongly urge you to take a stand and do the right thing by supporting the
bill to ban styrofoam.
