To whom it may concern,
I would like to add my voice to the call to ban single use styrofoam for use as food containers on Hawaii
Island. As a volunteer cleaning along side highways I find this product to be most prevalent and persistent. It is
not lost on me that there are more environmentally friendly alternatives available on the market. If we are to
protect our aina we must have the political will to stand up to corporate lobbyists who would put personal profit
over environmental protection. Please support the bill to ban styrofoam from Hawaii Island. Let's be a leader in
environmental reform.
