In regards to Bill 13
I strongly support this bill for four main reasons:human health,animal health,environment,and costs.Polystyrene leaches carcinogens that endanger
human health.This light material blows into waterways and breaks down easily,endangering all kinds of marine life that think it is food.Styrofoam
litter spoils the beautiful pristine environment on which our recreational economy depends;Hawaii uses more styrofoam per capital than any other
state.Finally,the costs of removal of styrofoam from storm sewers and waste streams is enormous.The additional cost of sustainable substitutes are
insignificant compared to the above benefits.Please ban this plastic garbage!
