From Chief Engineer. Edward Harada, dated- January 29 ,
1981, requesting amendment to Chapter. 6., (Traffic
Code) , Article 7 , Section 3B, Schedule 2 (Thru
Streets) , under South Hilo to designate Holomua
Street as a thru Street from Kawili Street to
Mak aala. Street as the traffic counts show that
Holomua. Street has a higher traffic volume since.
the closure. of Pookela Street at Kanoelehua. Avenue;
recommends Council approve the request of the Chief. Engineer and
that the proper amendment to the traffic code
be prepared by theCor oration Counsel.
