Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
Comm. 273 : IMPROVEMENTS AT. HOOLULU SWIM STADIUM AND
TENNIS' 'STADIUM
From Councilwoman Helene H. Hale dated April 27,
1981 requesting for consideration in the 1981-82
budget, funds for the installation of an electronic
timing system for Hoolulu Swim Stadium ($11,065)
and bleachers fortheHoolulu Multi-Purpose
Stadium ($48,400) . Informs improvements at these
facilities will boost our tourist industry to
attract regional and national swim meets and
provide more adequate seating for the Merrie Monarch
Festival , and other events that could be promoted;
recommends the communication be referred to the Committee of the
Whole for consideration in the 1981-82 budget.
