Comm. 421: 'D'OWNTOWNTRAFFIC AND PARKING REVISIONS
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada, dated
August 5, 1981 , requesting amendments to
Chapter 6 , (Traffic Code) to revise the
traffic patternsand narking stalls and
adjust the meter rates for Downtown Hilo.
These revisions were developed, in consultation
with I-IRA and in looking at the adopted Hilo
Downtown Development Plan in conjunction
with Resolution 522 .

comments on implementation of Phase I of the
traffic recirculation elan;
recommends Council approve the request of the Chief Engineer
for Downtown traffic' and parking revisions and that the nroner
amendments to thetraffic code be prepared by the Corporation
Counsel.
