Subject: Bill Number 47 - Farmers Market and County Parks
My husband and I live in Honomu and have had the great pleasure and nourishment of shopping at the Hakalau Farmers
Market in Wailea for a number of years.The weekly event in the park has been a wonderful place to gather with our
community,our neighbors and share great food locally grown and prepared.
We have been saddened by the loss of this location as our gathering place since the park seems such an ideal place for
the community to come together and share the bounty of East Hawaii.
Please consider this amendment to Bill 47 as you continue to support wholesome activities in the county parks that are
attended by people of all ages in the spirit of aloha and appreciation of local efforts toward sustainability and a local
economy.
We submit this email with respect and an earnest desire to see our community continue to thrive.
