Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
Comm. 361: SIGN VARIANCE REQUEST - CANTON GARDEN, INC.
From Buck H. Lee, President, Canton Garden, Inc. ,
dated June 16 , 1981 requesting a variance to
install a 14 ' x 48 ' illuminated sign which is
an addition to the existing sign announcing the
location of their restaurant. Informs the present
sign is very small and is partially obstructed
by a large banyan tree causing poor visibility
of sign.

Recommends Council approve thesign variance request of Canton Garden,
Inc. , provided theconditions listed in the Chief Engineer' s letter
