From Michael E. Root , President, Big Island
Cycling Club, dated October 7 , 1981, requesting
approval to alter the traffic pattern around
Liliuokalani Gardens (map attached) between
the hours of 8 : 30 a.m. to 12 noon, on Sunday,
November 29 , 1981, for a series of bicycle races
which will be conducted in accordance with United
States Cycling Federation requirements. Informs
they will have 11 marshalls along the course and
adequate barricades and road cones installed for
traffic control;
recommends Council approve the request of the Big Island Cycling Club
to alter the traffic pattern around Liliuokalani Gardens between the
hours of 8 :30 a.m. to 12 noon, Sunday, November 29 , 1981 for a series
of bicycle races , provided that the conditions required by the Police
Department, Fire Department , Hilo Hospital and Public Works Department
are complied with.
