Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
" Comm. 574 : CHRISTMAS PARADE PAHOA TOWN
From Stanley Takemura , Traffic Control Chairman,
Pahoa Christmas Parade , Hui Or.Puna Jaycees , dated
November 5 , 1981, requesting the closing of roads,
as contained in his letter, on December 19 , 1981,
Saturday, from 1: 30 p.m. to 4 : 30 p.m, for their
annual Christmas Parade in Pahoa Town for the.
Puna District;
recommends Council approve the request of the Hui O! Puna Jaycees
to close the "Pahoa Rubbish Dump Road" on December 19, 1981 between
the hours of 1: 30 p.m. to 3 : 00 p.m. provided that the Jaycees :
1. coordinate the proposed closure of the road with the
Departments of Fire (Keaau and Pahoa Stations) Police and
Public Works;
2 . secure a permit from the Police Department for their
parade along Route 130; and
•
3 . coordinate and resolve any route conflicts with the
Hele-On bus system.
