Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
Comm. 654 : "BROTHER KALLES ANNUAL SURFING CLASSIC"
From John H. McCollum, Jr. , Coordinator, Pepeekeo
Community Assembly of God, dated February 3 , 1982 ,
requesting permission to convert Kahoa Road from
Alae Cemetery to the Honolii, Pali into a one-way
street on February 20 from 7 : 00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m.
in order to hold their "Bro. Kalles Annual Surfing
Classic" as part of their community out-reach
program;
recommends Council approve the request for a temporary one-way
traffic pattern__ on Kahoa Road on February 20 , 1982 from 7 : 00 a.m.
to 5 : 00 p.m. ; provided that the conditions required by the
Police Department, Public Works Department, Fire Department, and
Hilo Hospital are complied with,
One-way traffic to begin from a point approximately 330 feet
Hamakua of the Nahala Street-Kahoa Road intersection that is
adjacent to a traffic warning sign alerting motorists to a
"Narrow Winding Road" and proceed in the Hamakua Direction for
a distance of approximately 7/10ths of a mile to point just Puna
of residence address, 990 Kahoa Road.
