Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred:
/d, Comm. 799 : KING KAMEHAMEHA PARADE KA'ILUA-KONA
From Mona Gamiao, Chairman, King Kamehameha
Celebration Commission, Kona Parade Committee,
requesting permission to hold a parade on June 12 ,
1982 starting north from Hale Halawai to the Old
Airport Park along Alii Drive. This would necessitate
closing those portions of Alii Drive and Kuakini
Highway from 9 : 15 a.m. until the parade ends,
approximately 1 .1/2 hours and in addition, request
the following:
1. One-way traffic going north between Lunapule
Road and Wailua Road from 7 : 30 to 9 : 30 a.m. ; and
2 . Blocking Alii Drive completely all the way
south to Wailua Road from 9 :00 a.m.;
recommends Council approve of the request to hold a parade on
June 12 , 1982 .
