From Thomas H. Yamamoto, P . E . , Vice President,
Mauna Lani Resort, Inc. , dated May 12, 1982,
informing they have obtained buildings permits
for both lava walls and a sign permit for
installation of sign letters on the wall on the
Kawaihae side oftheir entry road and requests a
variance to allow installation of identical sign
letters on the wall on the Kona side of their entry
road so that the signs can be seen from either
direction of the highway.
