8TH ANNUAL BIG ISLAND MARATHON
July 4, 1982
From Theodore Young, Secretary, Fourth Fest Hilo
Committee, Lehua Jaycees, dated May 20, 1982 , in
conjunction with the 6th Annual Fourth Fest Hilo
Celebration and the Big Island Road Runners.:: 8th
Annual Big Island Marathon, jointly requesting
traffic control in areas described in their letter,
for the Carole Kai Bed Race, the Big Island Marathon,
and the Fourth of July fireworks on Sunday,
July 4, 1982 ;
recommends Council approve the request of the Lehua' Jaycees and the
Big Island Road Runners for traffic control for their 6th Annual Fourth
Fest Hilo Celebration and the 8th Annual Big Island Marathon, provided
that the conditions required by the Police Department, Fire Department,
Public Works Department and Hilo Hospital are complied with.
