MASS TRANSPORTATION AGENCY
From Steven Shinchi, Transit Operations Manager,
dated October 19 , 1982 , submitting their proposal
to establish a student fare program geared for the
student commuter market;
recommends that the Mass Transit Agency establish a monthly Student
Commuter Discount Pass Program, entitling each student, from pre-school
to college level , who purchases a monthly pass to approximately a 30
percent discount off regular fares, based on 40 passenger trips per
month.
Further reduction of fares for students may be considered in the future
with theincreasedridership.
