dated September 22 , 1982., requesting that the children' s
swimming pool across Harry K. Brown Park be temporarily
closed until the health hazards can be looked into.

problem of contaMination in the keiki pool at Harry
K. - Brown Park. .

recommends the following: -
1. The keiki pond be allowed to slowly fill with sand by natural beach
erosion.
2 . PWC Chairwoman, Councilman from the Puna district and P&R Director to
work together with the State on an alternate site for a. swimming area.
3. Recognize the historical significance of tla:ponds a .• identify the
ponds as such.
