Comm. 993: KATE'IE 'S'TREAM BRIDGE :
From Councilman Frank De Luz, III , dated
October 25, 19.82., informing that several years ago,
the wooden bridge, spanning the Kaieie Stream and
interconnecting the Kaieie Homestead Road. and
Kaapoko Homestead Road, sustained some damage from
heavy runoff resulting in the reclassification of
the bridge to six tons making it unusable by the
school bus.. Recommends that the administration be
requested to review the situation and submit their
findings to the Public Works Committee.

recommends the following:

1. The administration be requested to redirect roadway water away from
the Kaieie bridge located on the low point of the road, to install a
"Narrow Bridge" warning sign, and to continue doing the preventive
work.
2. Funding ($25 ,000) for construction of a -new bridge decking, to be •
designed by DPW staff, be referred to the 1983-84 budget for
consideration. •
