SIGN

From Gary E. Ashikawa, Project Manager, Kona Scenic
Land, Inc. , dated October 19 , 1982 , requesting a
variance to construct the Central KonaShopping
Center ground sign on Lot 1-A (TMK: 8-1-03 :38) , at
the intersection of Mamalaho .c Highway and Helekii
Street, which will identify the entire complex
and also the Foodland Super Market on Lot 3-A-1-B
and the other anchor tenant to occupy proposed
Building F on Lot 3-A-1-C. The combined area of
the three sign panels is within the 32 square feet
allowable for a ground sign;

recommends Council approve the request of the Central Kona Shopping Center
provided the proposed sign not exceed the total allowable area of
32:i:squareofeet fore a ground sign in a business district and that the
applicant be required to obtain a building permit for the rock column
supports .
