Comm. 706 .4 : IMPROVED SIDEWALK
KEALAKAA STREET TO THE CREATIVE DAY -CARE
CENTER .
From Mayor Herbert T. Matavoshi, dated
January 26 , 1983, informing the cost estimate
for improvements to Palani Road (Phase I
request) is $252 ,000 for which the County has
no capital funds. Recommends , should further
improvements requiring additional right-of-
way acquisition be pursued by the School Advisory
Council , that consultants be hired to have the
. work done after setting up appropriate planning
funds through the State. Under the State-
County Highway System Agreement of 1968, Palani -
Road was to be taken over the State Department
of Transportation under the Phase III program.
Refer to the Committee of the Whole for consideration in the 1983-84
CIP budget. (PWC Chr. to confer with State legislators for
assistance in funding the project. )
