Comm. 1338 : "ALOHA AND WELCOME" SIGNS
Copy of letter to Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi from
Public Works Committee Chairwoman Merle K. , Lai
dated August 26 , 1983 , requesting "Aloha and Welcome
to the Island of Hawaii" signs be posted at General
Lyman Field, Keahole Airport and at the Port of Hilo.
/32.6 . 1338 .1: Copy of letter to Harry Yada, President, Lehua
Jaycees , from PWC Chairwoman Merle K. Lai , dated
January 6 , 1984 , supporting their proposal to
construct a welcome sign at the Hilo Airport;
recommends referral to the Department of Research and Development
for funding and coordination with the Lehua Jaycees on the posting
of "Aloha and Welcome" signs at the airports and Hilo Harbor .
