Your Committee on Public Works, to which was referred .
4u, Communication 1560, reports as follows :
The County of Hawaii and the Volcano Community Association desire to
enter into an agreement which will facilitate the construction,
operation, and maintenance of a community center in the volcano area.
Tendered as an enclosure to Communication 1560 is a proposed lease
agreement between the County of Hawaii (lessor ) and the Volcano
Community Association (lessee) . This agreement has been reviewed by
the Corporation Counsel ' s Office and approved as to form.
Your Committee on Public Works finds that, pursuant to Chapter 2,
Article 19, Hawaii County Code 1983 , as amended, disposition of real
property by lease to a non-profit organization is authorized.
Accordingly, your committee submits for adoption, Resolution No. '
893-84 directing the Director of Finance to negotiate said lease with
the Volcano Community Association.
