Your Committee on Public Workssubmits for consideration the
attached resolution relating to a Beautify Hawaii County Day.
Resolution 892 originated with the Public Works Subcommittee on
Beautification and is being submitted to the County Council for
adoption.
The Subcommittee on Beautification has reported that the State Litter
Control Program has been sponsoring four clean up days per year and
that response to these organized beautification efforts has been very
limited in this county.
Your Committee on Public Works concurs with the recommendation of . its
Beautification Subcommittee that positive publicity, guidance and
participation is essential and supports the declaration of a Beautify
Hawaii County Day on June 23, 1983.
